Dennis called the meeting to order. Minutes from May Booster meeting are posted on the web-site. No corrections or additions; minutes were approved as posted.

Treasurer reports that the student account has $3,588.03, general account has $4,117.33, and the uniform account has $9,700.50.

Fundraising committee reports that the March-a-thon is starting soon. Joe Corbi pizzas are also starting soon and the Keys fundraiser is on-going. Maggi is trying to organize a fundraiser meeting next week for an annual planning meeting. Dennis explained that the band fees only cover what the band does during the regular season. Fundraising is what is used to purchase the extraneous stuff such as drum lines and uniforms. Dennis stressed that everyone needs to get involved parents and especially students. There will be a car wash/yard sale/bake sale. We don’t have a date announced yet. Car wash money will go to the student accounts but baked goods and yard sale proceeds will go to the uniform fund. The tentative date is June 27 th.

Pit crew doesn’t have anything new to report. Jerry and Nick have been working on the Cub Cadette.

Uniform committee has finished the shoe fittings and glove fittings as well as t-shirts. If your student hasn’t been fitted or needs new shoes, make sure you let Trish Kalinyak know. Uniform fitting is coming up and sewing and uniform committees will both need to be involved in that.

Sewing committee has not started yet.

Mike had the committee list and announced that he was very pleased with the list. A lot of people have signed up; all of the committees are looking really good. Mike introduced new band parents.

We are going to Disney World for this year’s trip. We are still looking at trying to fly instead of taking the bus. There will be more on that coming soon.

Special Events committee announced that there will be a big need for popsicles during band camp. Susan will be sending out e-mails closer to time for people to sign up to bring popsicles.

Doug Brown has student account statements. If payments were made this week, they have not been reflected on the accounts yet.

Mrs. Caulfield thanked everyone for coming out for this last meeting of the school year. She encouraged us to bring a friend with us next time. She encouraged everyone to get involved somehow. Mrs. Caulfield is going to ask around to find a copy of the County Band Festival DVD – Wal-Mart may have some grant-type money for us if they can submit the DVD.

Mr. Kibler wished everyone a good summer. He was impressed with Mrs. Caulfield’s enthusiasm for this program in general and for this year’s show in particular.

Susan Brown drew a ticket for the raffle and Mike Hillman and Debbie Scheffel won band towels. They drew 2 more tickets and Susan Ralston Jen Baker won those towels.

Bruce Baker presented a cake to Dennis in thanks for all he’s done for the group. Dennis adjourned his final meeting at 7:30 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,
Carrie Kurdt
Secretary
