General Booster Meeting - May 13, 2009
Meeting convened at 7:06 p.m.

Minutes from April meeting were posted on website – correction was made to change Kathy Hilton’s name in the minutes to actually say Kathy Hilton instead of Kathy Hillman. They will be recorded as posted.
Meeting moved on to elections. Jen Baker was added to the ballot and Amelia Ecker was removed. This was done by their personal decisions to run or not run.
By-law amendment was voted on. The change was passed for the by-laws to read that student account treasurer is no longer a separate position. Those duties were moved into the second vice president position.
Maggie spoke about the spaghetti dinner, jazz/blues night. The students that are serving or dealing with the patrons need to dress according to directions.
Gas card raffle has been cancelled due to lack of sales. Monies previously collected have been returned.
Band banquet set up begins at 5:30 with attendees arriving at 6:30. There will be the cake contest and raffles. We’re looking forward to a fun evening.
Slate of officers for the upcoming year will be:
President – Mike Hillman
1 st Vice President – Doug Brown
2 nd Vice President- Andy Hogan
Treasurer – Jennifer Baker
Secretary – Carrie Kurdt
Mrs. Caulfield expressed her appreciation for the work the students have done and the success of the spring concert. The calendar has changed so be sure that everyone checks that and is aware of the new schedule. There may have been some discussion in Annapolis about schools in Frederick County that need new fields and we were at the top of that list. The in-school fundraising efforts for a new stadium are stalled. The new sports boosters are coming together and working hard to get the organization running again.
Student account statements are available. See Doug or Susan Brown.
Meeting adjourned at 7:24 p.m.
Respectfully submitted, Carrie Kurdt
Secretary
