Fund Raiser Report – we are adding several things for the student accounts. Joe Corbi’s ends tonight. Orders will still be accepted tomorrow. Claire’s Gourmet is coming up again. It was a big hit last year. Jean personally endorsed their products. Claire’s starts March 2nd, to be turned in by March 18th. Breakfast with the Easter Bunny is coming up. We will need to start working on that very soon. Guard and Percussion students will not be available so we may need more parents to step in with the crafts. A Greater Frederick coupon book will be starting soon. These are all coupons for places in and around Frederick. They cost $20 and we earn $8 per book. Jazz night spaghetti dinner will be in May. The in-door guard show is being held March 14th. This will be our 3rd year. The show starts at approximately 3 p.m. Carrie is doing trophies and Kathy Hilton and Denise Daly are doing group chaperones/escorts. Bob Fowle is cooking again. We have 22 groups + our 3 exhibition groups. A sign-up sheet is going around tonight. We will be doing a lot of the set-up Friday evening because SATs will be taking place Saturday morning. Dennis is working on the parking issue along with Paul Andre. Battle of the Bands fundraiser has been approved. It is March 19th, 2009. The close date for band submissions is the 25th of February. The bands which are selected will be announced on March 6th. The audience votes for the winning bands. The have to play the songs they submit. We’ll have food available for purchase. Jean needs somebody to take over fundraising.

Boston trip money has been coming in. Mike will be sending out room lists, permission slips and medications lists shortly. There will be a meeting after the forms go out.

Mike is heading up a nominations committee. We need to begin soliciting names by March 15th. We need to be thinking about who is going to be working on the board next year. The candidates will have a chance to speak in April and then we will vote in May.

Tom and Carrie and working on standardizing and simplifying the forms. No other new business.

Respectfully submitted,
Carrie Kurdt, Secretary
