Home Plate Favs and Dippin Dots Frederick Keys Concession Fundraiser

Urbana Band Boosters have invited TJ families to join them at the concession stand Home Plate Favs and Dippin Dots again this season.  Below is the information on what the positions are and how to sign up.  Your student's account will be credited after the season is over for all the slots/games you worked.  Last year, each slot worked credited student accts  ~$25.  (I worked 5 slots and my daughter's acct was credited over $125 - that was $125 I didn't have to pay from my checking account or have to sell whatever to fund her account.)  The "earnings" is based on total receipts from Ovations plus the tips.  There is no guarantee that that amount will be the same this year - it could be more or it could be a bit less.  It depends on the crowds at the game and our ability to provide good service. 

If you haven't worked the Keys before, here are the positions that we staff:

Adults
   Cash Manager - cashier + responsible for cash handling (experienced)
   Inventory Manager - cashier + responsible for inventory counts at close and open, and general manager of the stand (experience)
   Cashier - operate a register and serve food (inexperienced is fine - we'll train and you'll pick up quick)
   Grill Manager - food preparation and grill inventories (experienced preferred, but can be trained by an experienced grill assistant)

Students
   Cashier Helper - help the cashiers with food service (no experience required)
   Grill Assistant - help the grill manager with food preparation (experience preferred, but can be trained by experienced grill manager-   16 and older)
   Condiments - serves as cashier helper, and keeps the condiments stand filled and clean (no experience required)
   Dippin' Dots - runs the Dippin' Dots stand, serving customers, and responsible for beginning/ending cash and inventory (with adult supervision, no experience required)

To distinguish our TJ families from Urbana, please use "TJ" prior to your first name.  For example, when I sign up, it will be show as TJ-Vicki Smith. 

There are some special shifts in the beginning to clean and setup the stand and for training.  The cleaning shift, in particular, is a good way to earn a little extra as Ovations (the food service firm at Keys Stadium) pays us extra for this job.
